Harrison served almost three decades as a US Marine, commander and instructor. As Commanding Officer of the Marine Detachment at Fort Sill, he was responsible for all USMC fire support training to include: HIMARS operations, precision targeting, the Joint Fires Observer course, fire direction/fire support, radar operations and cannon training.

An established leader in his field, Harrison will draw upon his decades of military experience – involving deployments all over the world – to deliver a presentation that promises to challenge and inspire conference attendees.

Harrison joined Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control in July 2016 as International Business Development Manager for Tactical Missiles and Combat Maneuver Systems.

Prior to his retirement from military life, Harrison served 28 years in the United States Marine Corps, including as Commanding Officer of the Marine Detachment at Fort Sill. Prior to his appointment to Fort Sill, Harrison was the Operations Officer (G-3) for Marine Central Command. He was operationally responsible for the planning and execution of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars in the Marines’ assigned areas of responsibility.

Additionally, he was responsible for reinforcing Embassies and U.S. Consulates throughout the Middle East and Central Asia. He worked closely with Bahraini Military officials to introduce and base a marine strike fighter squadron on Bahraini soil in order to increase Gulf Coast Countries’ response options to potential aggression.

In 2008, Mr. Harrison personally developed and implemented a plan to retrieve HIMARS launchers in Iraq and introduce USMC HIMARS in Helmand Province, Afghanistan for the first time. In 2000, he worked with the HIMARS Program Office to develop the USMC initial operating concept and new equipment fielding plan that enabled the Marine Corps’ transition from cannon artillery to HIMARS.

Mr. Harrison is a veteran of the Desert Storm, Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan wars. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M, a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Marine Corps War College, and a Master of Business Administration from Columbia College. He is married with three children.
