Ranjit Rai, Vice President & Former Director Naval Operations, Indian Maritime Foundation & Indian Navy

 

Cmde Ranjit B Rai MBIM (UK) is a specialist Navigator and Air Force trained Air Controller who attended Yarrow Shipyard, HMS Dryad and RN Staff College. London. Commanded three ships and the Indian Naval Academy. Ashore and served as Director Operations  and Intelligence and was Defence Adviser in the Indian High Commission Singapore for South East Asia .

 

On prematurely leaving the Navy completed the Ship Management Course at IIM Ahmedabad, and served as the India Rep for  USA’s LASH project carrier Waterman Steam Ship Corporation till 2004 and writes and speaks on Maritime Issues and broadcasts and served as Vice President of the Indian Maritime Foundation.
