Dr. T. B. (Mac) McClelland, Jr.

 

Former US Defense & Naval Attaché to Oman & Former Political Advisor to the Commander US 5th Fleet 

 

 

T. B. (Mac) McClelland, Jr. is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Center House Ltd., a consulting firm specializing in management consulting, business development, and business advisory services. He is also a professor at Hult International Business School (Dubai campus) where he teaches leadership and management.  Prior to founding Center House Ltd., Mac was General Manager of Enron Middle East and Group Director (Eastern Hemisphere) for J. Ray McDermott.  Before joining McDermott, Mac served around the world in senior leadership positions in the United States Marine Corps, including the U. S. Naval Attaché and Naval Attaché for Air to the Sultanate of Oman, and as the Political Advisor to the Commander, U.S. Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. He was also the political-military advisor to the Commandant of the Marine Corps on issues related to the Middle East, North Africa, and Southwest Asia. He retired from the Marine Corps in 1996 after 20 years of service. Mac holds a Doctor of Management in Organizational Leadership from University of Phoenix.  He also holds the degrees of Bachelor in Mathematics from The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina; Master in Human Resources Management from Pepperdine University; and Master of International Policies Studies from The Monterey Institute of International Studies. He is a past President of the American Business Council of Dubai and the Northern Emirates, served on the Advisory Council to the School of Business at the American University of Dubai, and serves on various other boards and committees. He has testified as an expert witness before the US Congress and is a frequent public speaker on subjects ranging from business to security and policy issues in the region. He has been featured in the Wall Street Journal and on CNBC discussing issues affecting American companies overseas. A member of Mensa, Mac is also a private pilot and a Founder of the National Museum of the Marine Corps at Quantico, Virginia.
